A thousand volunteers, led by Giuseppe Garibaldi, set off at night from Quarto (near Genoa, at that time a part of the Kingdom of Sardinia) heading towards Sicily, dominated by the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies.

Taking inspiration from the Expedition of the Thousand (Mille in Italian), we establish a new ferry line that, with its red ships, will compete with Tirrenia, Moby Line (famous Italian ferry lines) and all the others.

We start with the logo and its color. The famous shirts of the Mille were sewn with fabric dyed red at the Tintoria degli Scarlatti (Scarlets’ dyeing plant), near Bergamo. So, our corporate color is that same scarlet red.

Therefore, we arrange the launch of our first ship, with sponsors and testimonials (some more famous than others).

We systematically implement the corporate identity to ships, uniforms and support vehicles.

As ships set off, the advertising campaign and a booking website are being launched too.

And so many other things could be created taking from such rich material...
