March 25th, 2021

One just can’t avoid celebrating “Dantedì” (Dante’s day), the Italian day dedicated to Dante Alighieri. The date is the one the scholars identify as the beginning of the journey through the afterlife told in the Divine Comedy; furthermore, 2021 marks 700 years since poet’s death.

Same day

We dedicate to Dante (is there be anybody still calling their kids “Dante”?) a brand of pasta. Divina (Italian for “Divine”).
Acheronti (Acherons), Dannati (Damned), Stelle (Stars) and Trombette (Trumpets). All the shapes are specially designed and produced, taking from verses, places and characters in the Divine Comedy: there’s enough of them to go on creating new products up to the year 2221. We’ll see about that.

Also the packaging of an exclusive pasta needs a personal touch: actors of TEV (Theatre of Eternal Valuse) are performing Dante’s tercets, in photos taken by Edward Rozzo. Better than Gustave Doré.

And in times of starred chefs, we find ourselves an exceptional testimonial: one of the most diabolic and erudite men in Italy.
Rosario Didonna (@roasario) even dedicates to Dantedì an unpublished recipe.

For the launch, we carry out a billboard campaign, choosing those locations that are somehow connected to Dante: via Dante in Milan, Piazza Dante in Naples, Piazza Santa Croce in Florence and so on.
In this picture is Piazza dei Signori in Verona.
