Galileo Galilei, old and ill, after facing a long trip from Florence to Rome being carried on a gurney, and after months of home detention, is forced by the Roman Catholic Inquisition to recant his views about the validity of the Copernican system. Fortunately though, he keeps intact his beliefs, and (maybe) utters the phrase "E pur si muove" (And yet it moves), obviously speaking of the earth.

We create "E pur si muove": a series of books about Physics, Astronomy, Mathematics and Philosophy, dedicated to those who want to learn how to think, instead of trusting in tradition and common sense or, even worse, in the authority.

Physics • Carlo Rovelli, The Order of Time

Astrophysics • Stephen Hawking, The Theory of Everything

Astronomy • Margherita Hack, I'll Tell You About Astronomy

Mathematics • Edwin Abbott, Flatland

Philosphy • Hannah Arendt, Eichmann in Jerusalem: A Report on the Banality of Evil
Beside the most renowned authors, the series gives room to voices out of the chorus too, in order to get to those who might be intolerant to the scientific establishment.

Tuttologia • Venanzio Rubiconi, Too Old for This Shit

We like to think that Lawrence Ferlinghetti would have found a place for this series in his bookshop; in fact, he might even have promoted it.
